The Student Activities Department at Alnoor University is holding an awareness seminar on online extortion

In the presence of Professor Dr. Kamel Ali Abdul Mohsen, Dean of the Technical Engineering College, the Student Activities Department at Alnoor University, in collaboration with the Cybersecurity Engineering Department, held an awareness seminar on cyber extortion on the morning of Tuesday, February 17, 2026, under the supervision of Assistant Instructor Ruaa Faris Mohammed.
The seminar included scientific lectures delivered by Assistant Lecturer Mustafa Hazem Saleh, Rania Salah Abdul Wahab, and Abbas Jassim Hassan, in which they addressed the concept of cyber extortion, its methods, and ways to prevent it, in addition to outlining the legal and social aspects related to this phenomenon, with the aim of raising students’ digital awareness and protecting them from the risks of cyberspace.
